Scott Jamieson - President, Chief Operating Officer and Director
Mr. Jamieson has 20 years of Fibre Network Engineering and Operations experience, including five years as the National Manager of the Fibre Optic Engineering Department of Group Telecom, with management responsibility for a $100M capital budget for network deployment and 400,000 fibre kilometers of plant, 15 employees in offices from coast to coast, and fibre systems responsibility within a company with a quarter billion revenue run rate and over a billion dollars in financing.
Jason Krause - Director Network Operations and Infrastructure
Mr. Krause has 13 years of years of experience in planning, designing, engineering, and building fibre optic networks in Western Canada & Northwestern United States markets. Jason has extensive experienced in project management and implementation as well as quality assurance and inspection of fibre optic networks. Mr. Krause’s background is in planning, designing, implementation, management, and systems engineering for fibre optic splicing, OTDR testing including power meters, chromatic dispersion & phase mode dispersion testing, municipal permit designs, structured cable design, quality assurance & inspection, central office equipment design & engineering, telecommunications standards, aerial & underground cable placement & design.
Jason has held leadership roles with TELUS, Bell Canada, MTS Allstream, AT&T Canada and Metronet Communications. He has supervised the installation of over 1,000 route kilometres of fibre optic cabling, designed and engineered 50+ fibre fed mobility sites, completed 165 point of presence (POP’s) in the Lower Mainland, Calgary and Edmonton. Mr. Krause designed and implemented portions of the fibre network for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games sites for Bell Canada. Mr. Krause was also part of the Quality Assurance & Inspection team for the TELUS rollout of the new Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) fibre to the home launch.
Jason is a graduate of Thompson Rivers University Telecommunication Technology Program specializing in fibre optic technologies. He is currently in the process of obtaining the designation Project Management Professional (PMP) through Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, Alberta.
Elaine Hirji
Chief Financial Officer
Elaine Hirji is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, process development, financing, and financial systems implementation. She has held senior financial management positions in entrepreneurial minded organizations in both Vancouver and Toronto. She most recently led the finance department at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, one of Vancouver’s entrepreneurial success stories. She has worked with private and public companies and not for profit organizations.
In Toronto, she led the Finance & Admin departments of Foster Parents Plan, an international development organization which helps over 1.3M children per year. Previous to that in both Toronto and Vancouver, she held the role of Vice-President, Treasury for GT Group Telecom while GT grew from 0 to 400,000 km of fiber optic network.
Elaine earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. She articled at Price Waterhouse in Vancouver to earn her Canadian Chartered Accountant designation.
