Member of due diligence team involved in asset acquisitions. Hired and led full-time technical staff of 10 direct reports to deliver planning, mapping, outside plant design, fiber splicing, systems development, and reporting solutions to the company. Conducted salary reviews, hirings, performance improvement plans, and promotions. Member of the IPO team which brought GT to NASDAQ. Responsible for Opticon and Opticon LT, the corporate Fibre Management System, (50 seats nationally). Also responsible for CADD (AutoCAD), GIS (Mapinfo), webGIS (MapGuide), and fibre project tracking systems, as well as integration of dark fibre sales within other back office systems.

Developed, implemented and managed Fiber Network Planning, Design and Archives Group. Managed capital expenditure planning for BC, AB, SK, and MB for $27M worth of OSP construction and $60M worth of cable nationally. Managed relationship with ROW providers in four major urban centers across Canada and began the TorontoHydro fiber leases in Toronto. Hired and led full-time technical staff of five direct reports to deliver GIS, CADD, OSP design, fiber splicing, and planning solutions to the company. Key member of the Group Telecom due diligence team involved in the $760 M acquisition of Shaw FiberLink. Responsible for integrating the two fiber networks, as well as the fiber databases, applications, and workflow procedures, in order to replace Shaw Engineering dependency. Created procedures for effective fiber network planning and information flow between regional offices and head office. Fostered and incorporated input from Marketing, Sales, Facilities, POP Engineering, and Operations. Championed intranet GIS solutions which empowered every GT stakeholder, and ultimately leveraged the knowledge base within Information Systems to help build an enterprise OSS.
